Your shrimp recipes look wonderful and I can’t wait to try them. We just got a gas range with an air fryer, what changes do we need to make. I am totally lost. Thanks for any help.

Hi! For the air fryer in the gas range, it’s going to be pretty similar as far as cooking method and times. The main things to use there would probably be a basket or a sheet pan because in a traditional air fryer there is an air fryer basket and then something catching whatever comes through the basket. I have a few baskets that I can put in the oven, https://amzn.to/4aF2887. I use these for things that wouldn’t drip under like french fries and veggies. For anything that drips I’d sit this on top of a sheet pan or you can just use a sheet pan. I have a gas range with an air fryer too and use it all the time. Outside of just using maybe a different pan/basket instead of an “air fryer basket”, it sometimes takes a little longer to cook with my oven air fryer but I still get the same great texture.

Thank you so much for your quick reply, I did order a basket with tray, so far so good. One other question, do you usually pre heat? Does that mean you just bring to temperature and just wait 5 minutes or so before using?
Have a great day

With my oven air fryer, I usually let it warm up about 5 minutes before putting the food in. When I use my electric air fryer, I don’t normally preheat.
