Do you need a simple side dish for your next meal? If so these Air Fryer Glazed Carrots make the perfect recipe, plus the best part is they only take about 20 minutes to cook after the soaking time.
Place the carrots in an apple cider and brown sugar mixture for an hour for that extra flavor. These can be made without soaking too but to get that delicious flavor, it’s best to soak the carrots before moving forward with the cooking process.

Can you use baby carrots for Air Fryer Glazed Carrots?
Baby Carrots or Whole Carrots can be used for this recipe. If you use larger carrots, be sure to peel and slice them first, before soaking the carrots.
If you use baby carrots, they can be soaked as is without peeling or slicing.
This recipe uses about one pound of carrots.
How long do you cook carrots in the air fryer?
The carrots will be placed in the air fryer basket in a single layer and then they can cook at 390 degrees F for 15-20 minutes of cooking time.
All air fryers heat differently, meaning for best results, check on the carrots after 10 minutes or halfway point, stir or mix up, and then allow to cook until fork tender.
How do you cook glazed carrots in the air fryer?
Using a large bowl, place the carrots, apple cider, oil, and brown sugar in to soak for about one hour.
After they have soaked, carefully drain off the water and set aside.
Coat the air fryer basket with Grapeseed Oil Spray. It is possible to use Olive Oil Spray or Avacado Oil Spray; however, Grapeseed Oil Spray has the highest smoke point, which makes it the best choice.
Once the basket is coated, carefully place carrots into the air fryer basket. Try to get as close to a single layer as possible.
The final step is to go ahead and air fry the carrots at 390 degrees F for 15-20 minutes. Remember to check on the carrots at the halfway point and stir or mix them up to evenly cook.
As mentioned above the cook time will vary depending on the air fryer that you use, so be sure to keep a close eye on them the first time you cook them. The best way to test if they are done is to poke them with a fork and be sure they are fork-tender.
If you have cut thinner carrots, the cook time may need to be adjusted as it will vary based on the size of the carrots.
Once done, carefully remove from the air fryer and garnish the cooked carrots with fresh parsley or dried parsley.
How do you store leftovers?
Leftover carrots can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. When ready to serve, heat up on a microwave-safe plate in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.
Alternatively, the carrots can be reheated in the air fryer at 330 degrees F for 2-3 minutes.

Air Fryer Carrots
Ingredients
- 1 lb Sliced Carrots Baby Carrots will work too.
- 1 Tbsp Grapeseed Oil
- 1 1/2 Cups Apple Cider
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar Packed
- Garlic Salt Optional
- Grapeseed Oil Spray
Instructions
- Slice or prepare the carrots if not already sliced.
- Place the carrots in a bowl.
- Add the oil, apple cider, and brown sugar.
- Make sure it fully coats the carrots and let this sit and soak for about an hour.
- If you do not want to do this soak, just coat the carrots with the cooking oil spray and garlic salt and cook. The soak though really does bring out an amazing flavor in the carrots.
- Drain the liquid from the carrots.
- Coat the air fryer basket with Grapeseed Oil Spray.
- Evenly place carrots into the basket and add another coat of oil spray on the carrots.
- Cook at 390°F for 20 minutes, stirring or mixing after 10 minutes. If needed add additional oil spray.
- Carefully remove and serve.
