This recipe uses tender chunks of chicken that have been coated in a sticky honey glaze, and then pairs them with your favorite cooked rice and broccoli to make a wonderful dinner!
Utilizing a variety of sauces over crispy chicken thighs is one of my favorite ways to make dinner, and has been for years. This recipe for hot honey chicken is a twist on my traditional Air Fryer Honey Garlic Chicken. The main difference is that this recipe has spice!

Ingredients needed for Air Fryer Hot Honey Chicken Recipe:

- Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
- Salt
- Paprika
- Garlic Powder
- Ground Black Pepper
- Chili Powder
- Cornstarch
- Olive Oil Cooking Spray
- Honey
- Sriracha or Hot Sauceย
- Brown Sugar
Step-by-Step Recipe Instructions:

- In a large bowl, combine the salt, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, chili powder, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Cut the chicken thighs into chunks and place in the cornstarch mixture, stirring to fully coat the chicken. If needed, add additional cornstarch to fully coat it.
- Coat the basket of the air fryer with olive oil spray, and place the chicken evenly in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air Fry at 390 degrees F for 12-13 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches at least 165 degrees F.
- While the chicken is cooking, use a small saucepan and combine the honey, hot sauce, and brown sugar.
- Warm this up on medium-high heat on the stove, whisking to fully combine the sugar until it dissolves. Remove from the heat.
- Once the chicken is done, add it to a bowl and pour the sauce over the chicken; mix to fully coat the chicken with the sauce.
- Serve with cooked rice or broccoli.
Variations of Hot Honey Chicken Bowls:

- Adjust the level of spice with more or less hot sauce or add red pepper flakes to the chicken.
- Top the bowls with crunchy peanuts or wontons to give it a crunch.
- Make it kid-friendly, use a little more sweetness and less heat.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Hot Honey Chicken Bowls:

- Use Chicken Thighs, NOT Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, they will dry out too quickly.
- Do not overcrowd the basket. If needed, cook in batches.
- Use cornstarch; this is what will make the chicken crispy.
How do you store leftover chicken bowls with Hot Honey Sauce?

This recipe is best served fresh right out of the air fryer; however, if needed, store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. When ready to heat, heat at 330 degrees F for 2-3 minutes in the microwave.
