How should you prepare chicken drumsticks for the air fryer?
Any all-purpose marinade will work; however, I prefer to use Head Country Marinade. It’s best to marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes or overnight if you prefer.
I coat the chicken with the marinade, and after 15 minutes, I rotate the chicken and coat the other side.
Right before placing the chicken in the air fryer, I use Head Country Original Seasoning to lightly season the chicken. This can also be substituted with your favorite seasonings, like Garlic or Lemon Pepper.
The flavor is fabulous; it honestly tastes like a rotisserie-style chicken once it comes out of the air fryer, maybe even better! This same method could be used on a whole fryer chicken, too.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Seasoned Chicken Drumsticks:

- Flip the chicken halfway through the marinade time if it’s not fully saturated.
- Flip the chicken halfway through the air frying time to fully air fry on both sides.
- Do not overcrowd the basket; be sure to leave room around the sides for air to circulate.
- Use olive oil spray on the bottom of the air fryer basket or a sheet of foil or parchment paper for easy clean up.
Serving Suggestions for Chicken Drumsticks:
Chicken drumsticks pair wonderfully with a variety of air-fried vegetables, such as air-fried roasted potatoes, baked potatoes, green beans, or okra.
How do you store leftover chicken drumsticks?

Store the leftover drumsticks in the fridge for up to 3 days. When ready to reheat, heat at 350 degrees F for 5-7 minutes to bring back the texture. Use a spritz of olive oil spray if needed.
Air Fryer Seasoned Chicken Drumsticks are the best tender, juicy chicken drumsticks that win on flavor and texture! This easy, frugal meal is a great choice to make in the air fryer!

Never heard of Head Country Seasoning–East Coast. Can you say what a comparable item might be?

It’s just like a BBQ Flavor Seasoning, another good one would be Webers Kick’n Chicken, it’s very good!

I like to place the meaty end of the drumstick on the bottom of the basket, and then at about a 45 degree angle lean the bonier end against the side of the basket. One gets a lot more legs air fried doing it this way.
