What ingredients do you need for Air Fryer Sausage Patties?

To make Air Fryer Sausage Patties, all you need is the breakfast sausage of your choice, like pork sausage. This will be ground pork. Once you have it defrosted, simply slice off the sausage to make raw sausage patties.
Once that is done, you do not need anything else unless you want to add some additional seasonings or spices to your sausage such as black pepper or salt. We like to add a little fennel seed and thyme to ours to season them a bit.
How long do you cook sausage patties in the Air Fryer?

โOnce you have the breakfast patties made, place them in a single layer in the air fryer.
These can be placed on aluminum foil or coated in the air fryer basket with grapeseed oil spray.
If you are using raw sausage as we did in this recipe, you will set the air fryer to 390 degrees F and cook for about 8 minutes or until fully browned. These are going to be placed in a cold air fryer, not preheated. If you do preheat your air fryer, check in on the sausage for around 6 minutes.
If you are using frozen sausage patties that are pre-cooked, you can cook those at 390 degrees F for about 4 minutes.
The internal temperature for sausage patties needs to be at least 160 degrees F to be considered fully cooked. This can be checked with a meat thermometer.
What type of meat should you use?

A variety of meat can be used for this such as:
Either of these options will work, if you use the pork sausage patties, you do not need to cut or shape them because they are already done.
These breakfast sausage patties are also naturally gluten-free if you’re using plain ground pork. As always be sure to check the package and ingredients before using.
If you use the sausage roll, be sure to cut or shape it into a sausage patty before placing it in the air fryer.
This method does work for sausage links as well or with Turkey Sausage.

Tips for Making Air Fryer Sausage Patties:
This method is very straightforward using fresh patties along with your preferred seasoning this could be fennel seed, garlic powder, or red pepper flakes.
โOnce they are ready to place into the air fryer basket, they are cooked for 8-10 minutes. If you prefer, you can place them on a paper towel-lined plate; however, there should not be much extra oil with this method.
If this is the first time that you are making them in your machine, always check in on them throughout the cooking time to be sure that they are not overcooking.
All machines tend to heat differently which makes it important to keep a close eye on them while air frying.
It’s always best to use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, these should be at least 160 degrees F to be considered well done.
