Air Fryer Garlic Butter Steaks are perfectly tender and bursting with rich, buttery flavor, plus no grill needed! Just a few simple ingredients, along with your air fryer, to make these delicious steaks.
Using the air fryer for steak has truly been a game-changer. I often grill steak; however, some nights, like busy weeknights or days when it’s raining, the air fryer is the perfect choice! These are really good with Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes and Air Fryer Corn on the Cob, and have a full dinner made right in the air fryer.

How long does it take to cook a steak in the air fryer?

Cooking steak in the air fryer is very simple; it can take up to about 20 minutes to cook, depending on your desired doneness. The other factor is that all air fryers tend to heat differently, too.
We cook these on one side for 10 minutes, then I will flip them and cook on the other side for about 10 minutes. We like them well done, so if you prefer some pink, start with 15 minutes total and then go up from there if needed.
What cut of meat should you use for Air Fryer Steaks?

I prefer to use ribeyes to make these Garlic Butter Steaks, but it’s up to you! When we made these, we used sirloin; however, personally, the Ribeyes are the best.
Ribeyes have more fat to them, which gives them a juicier flavor. I happened to have sirloins on hand, so I used them for this recipe, they were very tasty but still if I were to choose, I’d choose ribeyes.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Steaks:

- Do not overcrowd the basket; give each steak room to cook evenly.
- Always let your steak rest before cutting into it to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Let the butter fully melt to soak into the steaks.
How do you store leftover steaks?

Let the steak cool completely, then store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. When ready to reheat, heat for 3-5 minutes at 350 degrees F in the air fryer. Remember, these steaks are best served freshly cooked.
Air Fryer Garlic Butter Steaks are the perfect choice for a quick weeknight meal, date night, or simply because you love steak. These steaks are easy to prep and ready to eat in less than 20 minutes!
