Tips for Making Air Fryer Steak Fajitas:

If you want to make this with less mess, you can add foil to the air fryer basket. If you do add foil, just roll up the sides so that air still circulates. Be sure that the food is placed on the foil before starting the air fryer so that it does not blow into the heating element.
Another option is to add a silicone liner. This is my preferred option as they do not blow around like foil or parchment paper does; it also keeps food from sticking to the bottom of the air fryer basket.
- Tender Steak – To get the most tender steak, ALWAYS slice the steak thinly against the grain. This steak should be cut into thin strips.
- Meal Prep – Add marinade to your steak and vegetables if you prefer a deeper flavor.
- Do Not Overcrowd – Keep room around the ingredients the air fryer basket so the air cirulates evenly, it’s best to mix up or shake the basket halfway through the cooking time.
- Easy Clean Up – Use the silicone liner, foil, or parchment paper to have quick cleanup.
- Watch Closely – Be sure to watch the steak closely the first time you make this as all air fryers heat differently.
Variations of Air Fryer Fajitas:

- Protein Alternative – Air Fryer Fajitas can easily be made with a variety of proteins, such as Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas, Air Fryer Shrimp Fajitas, or Air Fryer Combination Fajitas!
- Swap Vegetables – Use a variety of vegetables such as mushrooms, tomatoes, or zucchini.
- Make it Spicy – For a spicy kick, add in red chili pepper flakes, jalapeรฑo slices, or drizzle hot sauce if you love some heat.
- Swap the Tortillas – If you prefer a rice bowl, use the fajitas to fill up a bowl of rice or salad instead of tortillas.
- Add Lime – Serve topped with fresh cilantro and lime wedges; the lime juice adds delicious flavor!
- Use Oil Spray – Use olive oil spray, grapeseed oil spray, or avocado oil spray to give a light coat of oil to the ingredients; this will get them crispy and tender.
How do you store leftover fajitas recipe?

Once the fajitas have fully cooled, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. When ready to serve, reheat in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 3-5 minutes.

From everything I read, using anything, like aluminum foil is a good way to start a fire in the air fryer.
Has this changed? Thanks.

I haven’t read anywhere that you can’t because they work the same way as an oven, but of course always read the manual first on your air fryer because they are all different. Here is more info on it – https://www.insider.com/can-you-put-foil-in-air-fryer

Thank you for this recipe. I prepped everything and put it in the fridge to marinate. Then every other recipe I saw had you cook the veges and steak separately. Then I found yours!!! Now my dinner will stay easy. Thank you thank you!

You may be mistaking the advice for a microwave (DO NOT PUT ALUMINUM FOIL IN A MICROWAVE) with an air fryer. Two different devices, two different ways of cooking food.
