Make dinner in minutes with these Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas, they are a great Ninja Foodi Recipe too!
I’m on a fajita kick lately, and I mean literally I could eat them every single day. I’m not sure, why?
Maybe it’s that I finally figured out that if I heat a white corn tortilla with a bit of olive oil in my foodi or on the skillet they taste so much better than just warmed up in the microwave.
It’s the little things…and it’s all in how you cook certain things too.
Typically, we make Air Fryer Steak Fajitas; however, I’m trying to cut back some on red meat, so I decided to do Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas.
Now, I’m torn on which ones I like the best, they are both amazing!
Can you make Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas in a Ninja Foodi?
Yes! I make these in my Ninja Foodi, honestly, I highly recommend the Ninja Foodi too. It is literally an all-in-one appliance.
If you want to learn more about the Ninja Foodi, be sure to check out my “Honest Review of the Ninja Foodi.”
If you make this in the Ninja Foodi, it will be made using the Air Crisp function and the crispier basket that goes inside the pot.
What seasoning should you use for Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas?
I typically will use a Gluten-Free Fajita Seasoning or Taco Seasoning. It really gives the same great taste with whichever you choose.
If you want to make your own fajita seasoning, this Homemade Fajita Seasoning is a great option.
This is a good one to keep on hand in your spice cabinet to make these super fast!
What tortilla should you use for Air Fryer Fajitas?
My husband is not gluten-free, so he prefers flour tortillas, while I prefer white corn tortillas. I highly suggest heating these in your Ninja Foodi or in a skillet.
If you use a Ninja Foodi, I heat mine with a little olive oil spray and use the saute function.
It just takes about a minute to heat them up and they get nice and crispy.
This can also be done in a skillet while the fajitas are cooking. I do suggest using some olive oil spray in the pan or pot as well.
Can you prep ahead Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas?
YES! Do you have a thing for freezer meals? These are so easy to add to your freezer stash, simply fresh the ingredients in a freezer-safe storage bag.
Once you are ready to make them, let it thaw out for an hour or two and then add to the air fryer basket. That’s it, just cook and serve.
These are the perfect air fryer freezer cooking recipe.
Now that we have that covered, are you ready to have dinner done in 30 minutes?

This is the second recipe I’ve tried in my new Ninja Foodi Deluxe! Let me just say, Yum! Simple and quick! I did cheat though I added in frozen, already chopped onions and peppers…. ? lol. I also am trying to get my veggies in so I added a fresh stir fry mix that I bought from the store that had both kinds of shredded cabbage, kale, snow peas, broccoli bits, and carrots. It turned out perfect!
That sounds perfect, this is def one of my go-to dinner recipes! Also if you need more recipes, I have more on my other website, https://www.mommyhatescooking.com/category/recipes/ninja-foodi-recipes.
Can you use frozen chicken with fajita recipe
I’ve always used thawed chicken, so this may take longer if you use frozen.
Hi! I want to use frozen peppers & onions, too! What did you do differently?
Nope, that should work just as well!
Just wondering do I cook it in the black basket or right in the pot ?
I cook it in the black basket.

How long of using breasts please 🙏. I know thighs are tastier but husband not keen.
I would start checking on them around 15-20 minutes for chicken breast, make sure the internal temp is at least 165*F.
The vegetables were well done at 12 minutes. Chicken strips were done at17 minutes. 24 minutes at 390 is too and too long.
