Air Fryer Romaine Lettuce is lightly charred with a smoky flavor, tender and crisp. This is the perfect salad for any dinner recipe!
Air Fryer Romaine Lettuce is the BEST way to serve a delicious Caesar salad or paired alongside Air Fryer Steak. This romaine lettuce is similar to the grilled romaine lettuce, except it’s done in minute using the air fryer. The lettuce will be lightly charred with a smoky flavor and tender, crispy texture.

I was first introduced to grilled romaine at a cooking class many years ago, it has since been my favorite way to enjoy salad for years! Now it’s even easier to make in less than 5 minutes in the air fryer.
What ingredients do you need?

- Lettuce
- Olive Oil Spray
- Garlic Salt
- Salad Toppings and Dressings
These are the basic ingredients, and then you can add in additional ingredients to top the salad with or dressings such as Italian Dressing or Ranch Dressing.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Romaine Lettuce:

- Cut lettuce in half lengthwise – The lettuce should be cut lengthwise, keeping the core at the bottom intact so all of the lettuce leaves stay together.
- Cook in batches if needed – If needed cook in batches if both halves do not fit in your air fryer.
- Carefully coat the lettuce – It’s best to coat the lettuce halves with grapeseed oil spray or olive oil spray, and then sprinkle with a little bit of garlic salt for flavor.
- Monitor the cooking time closely – This lettuce will cook quickly. If it’s your first time making it, be sure to monitor the cooking time closely as all air fryers heat differently. If you are cooking it in batches, remember it will cook faster after the first batch due to the air fryer already being warm.
Serving Suggestions:

This air fryer side dish can be served as is with your favorite salad toppings or on a burger as a crunchy topping.
This lettuce is best served fresh, as it will get soft and wilty when stored.
Air Fryer Romaine Lettuce is a twist on a classic salad, I’m certain once you make one, salad will never be the same! This takes minimal effort with crispy, smoky results!
