What do you need to make Air Fryer Egg Bites?
Egg Bites are made with an Egg Bites Mold, so be sure to get this mold before trying this recipe.

This particular one linked above fits perfectly in the basket of a 6-quart air fryer.
Along with the egg mold, you will likely want to have mitts or potholders on hand as this will be hot when removed from the air fryer.
- Silicone Egg Mold
- Oven Mitts
- Eggs
- Half and Half
- Vegetables – Onions, Bell Peppers, Spinach, or Additional of Choice
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Cooked Meat – Bacon, Sausage, or Ham
- Salt
- Ground Black Pepper
How to Make Air Fryer Egg Bites:
It’s best to mix the ingredients into a glass measuring cup that you can easily pour from right into the mold.
Each spot in the mold will be filled up just about to the top, but do not go fully to the top. As you can see I had a few I went too high on in the picture, go just under the top that way they do not pop over your mold.

The egg bites can be made to your preference by adding in a variety of ingredients such as cheese, peppers, onions, bacon, sausage, and ham. Each of these items can be mixed right in.
Once you have the ingredients mixed in the measuring cup and the egg poured into the mold. Carefully place the mold into the air fryer basket or you can place the mold into the basket before pouring as well.
When ready to cook, you will simply cook at 390 degrees F in the air fryer for 8-12 minutes. This is where you will want to watch closely the first time that you make these because each machine tends to put out a different level of heat.

Our Ninja Air Fryer took just 11 minutes to fully cook to my desired doneness.
When the cooking time is over let them sit for just a few minutes to go down a bit if they’ve popped up. Then, the trickiest part is getting the mold out of the air fryer. Once they are cooled, carefully remove them with oven mitts and then flip them over onto a cutting board to release them.
At that point, you can carefully release the egg bites from the silicone mold. If needed use a spoon to release any that do not want to come out.

Quick Tips for Air Fryer Egg Bites:
- Do Not Overfill the Molds – The eggs do expand so leave a little bit of room up top!
- Mix up the Ingredients – Get creative and add ingredients that you may love, such as Jalapenos, Gouda Cheese, Mushrooms, or more.
- Store in an Airtight Container for Reheating!
- Easy to pair these with Air Fryer Sausage!

How do you store leftover Egg Bites?
Once cooled, store the egg bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
When ready to reheat, heat in the air fryer at 300 degrees F for 2-3 minutes, this will give you the best texture.
Air Fryer Egg Bites are a better-for-you option for a quick breakfast and a great meal prep option. I’ll say they are better and more frugal to make at home than those bought at a famous coffee chain too. Making them at home means you control the ingredients and can add exactly what you want!

Hi Kristy, I cook in the Ninja Foodi XL SmartLid 8 quart. I truly despise using the included air fryer basket because itโs difficult to clean. I modify if possible air fryer recipes that can be placed on the high-low trivet. What do you think of placing the egg bite mold on the lower trivet? Thank you.
Kristy says
I think that would work great. I’d do it on the low trivet too.

I have been making something like this with 6 eggs, 1# sage sausage, onion, 1/2 cup milk, shredded cheese and 1 cup shredded potatoes and various seasonings. It makes 14 regular muffin size and 9 larger muffin size.
