How do you make these gluten-free?

If you need to make gluten-free fritters, use a gluten-free all-purpose flour. I use King Arthur Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour; however, Better Batter, Cup 4 Cup, and Bob’s Red Mill will work as well.
Be sure to use a 1:1 even ratio of flour to regular flour. All remaining ingredients are naturally gluten-free; however, always check all ingredients before using to avoid cross-contamination.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Banana Fritters:

- Ripe Bananas Work the BEST – Use a ripe banana, only 1 banana is needed or the equivalent of 1/2 a cup.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer – Always leave room around the sides of the fritters so that the air evenly circulates.
- Watch the cooking time – After the first batch of fritters the following batches will cook quickly, so be sure to watch the cooking time closely to avoid overcooking.

- Use Grapeseed Oil Spray – If the fritters look floury, add a light spray of grapeseed oil spray and the floury parts will disappear. This also will give it that fried texture without frying.
- Serve Warm – These are best served warm right out of the air fryer, but if stored for later, warm up for a few seconds in the microwave or a minutes in the air fryer before serving.
- Mix it up – Banana Fritters are fabulous but you can substitute the banana with other fruits and make Apple Fritters too!
- Need it low calorie? For lower calories use a sweetener substitute such as Splenda and Fat Free Half and Half.
How do you store leftover Air Fryer Banana Fritters?
Store leftover fritter in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. When ready to eat, warm for 5-10 seconds in the microwave or the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 1-2 minutes.
