Get ready to make the BEST appetizer right in your air fryer with these easy Air Fryer Potato Skins!
Air Fryer Potato Skins are a go-to around here especially on game day, guess what? That’s just around the corner!

Potato Skins are very easy to make in the Air Fryer, I will show you two methods, one of which will be making these completely homemade using fresh potatoes. The other method will be simply heating up frozen potato skins.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Potato Skins:
This recipe can be made immediately following making Air Fryer Baked Potatoes.
These potato skins need to be made with cooked baked potatoes. It’s best to make the baked potatoes in the air fryer for 40 minutes, immediately following this, move forward with slicing the potatoes along with removing some of the insides.
These are sliced in half, then you can use a spoon or ice cream scoop to scoop out some of the insides. Be sure to keep a nice amount though inside, basically create a ‘valley’ to fill up with cheese and bacon.

Once that’s removed, they can be placed right back into the warm air fryer and topped with cheese and shredded bacon. Then, they will simply be cooked for an additional 5 minutes.
This is by far the best way to do this because the potatoes are nice and crispy already from cooking in the air fryer.

It’s best to add salt and pepper to taste once they have completed cooking time, plus dipped in Homemade Ranch Dressing.

If you want to top your potatoes with freshly shredded bacon, be sure to use this recipe for Air Fryer Bacon too.
How long do you cook frozen air fryer potato skins?

If you are planning to use frozen potato skins, these will need to be cooked for 10 minutes at 390*F.
The main difference here is that you will be using already prepared potato skins as opposed to starting from baking the potato.
Fresh Air Fryer Potato Skins:rnrnCook at 390*F for 40 Minutes, then an additional 5 Minutes once the potatoes are cut and prepared.rnrnFrozen Air Fryer Potato Skins:rnrnCook at 390*F for 10 Minutes.
How do you make Ninja Foodi Potato Skins?
This method works exactly the same in the Ninja Foodi using the Air Crisp function.

I use a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer with basically every recipe and they work interchangeably.
