- Kid-Friendly and Fun to Make – These donuts are easy to get the kids involved with making them, let them cut the holes in the middle, or dip them in the sprinkle topping.

- Easy to Customize – Want cinnamon sugar donuts? Try these Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar Donuts with canned biscuits!
What ingredients do you need for Air Fryer Biscuit Donuts?

- Flaky Canned Biscuits – Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
- Cooking Spray – Olive Oil Spray, Grapeseed Oil Spray, or Coconut Oil Spray
- Powdered Sugar
- Water
- Vanilla Extract
- Sprinkles
While the donuts are baking, the icing can be made by using a bowl and a whisk to whisk together the vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and water. Alternatively, you can use buttermilk or cream instead of water.
What type of biscuits should you use for Air Fryer Donuts?

Pillsbury Brands Flaky Biscuits will work the best for this recipe. They hold their shape better than the generic alternatives, which is exactly what you’ll want when air frying the biscuits. They do not have to be flaky biscuits, but we prefer them and feel like the consistency is better, but this is totally personal preference.
Tips for Making the Best Air Fryer Donuts:

The biscuits are easy to make with the prepared biscuits; simply use a small round cookie cutter to cut the center of the dough. I actually used a medicine cup that we had never used to make the round center, a bottle cap works well too. I saved the dough from the centers of each biscuit for donut holes, which my kids loved.
Once your dough is cut, coat the air fryer basket with cooking oil spray, such as grapeseed oil spray, and place the donuts inside the basket. Be sure to leave some room around the edges so air can fully circulate. If you prefer, you can use a silicone mat on the bottom, parchment paper, or foil for easier cleanup. If you do use either of these, be sure that the food is on the mat or foil before starting the air fryer. This will keep the mat or foil weighted down and not blow into the heating element.
Always keep a close eye on the donuts, as air fryers heat differently. This took us 8 minutes in our Ninja Air Fryer. These can also be made in a Ninja Foodi Multi Cooker with the Air Crisp function. They should cook until they are golden brown.
Cook in batches if needed in the air fryer, keeping the donuts in a single layer, and enjoy these warm donuts!
- Do Not Overcrowd the Air Fryer
- Flip Halfway for Even Cooking
- Use a Small Round Cookie Cutter
- Serve Warm and Fresh – Reheat in the Air Fryer
Topping Ideas for Air-Fried Donuts:

- Dip in Powdered Sugar and Sprinkles
- Drizzle with Vanilla Glaze
- Mix Sugar and Cinnamon for a Cinnamon Sugar Coating
- Dip in Melted Chocolate with Sprinkles
How do you store leftovers?
Store leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. It’s best to add a paper towel at the bottom of the container to avoid any excess moisture.
When ready to reheat, heat in the air fryer at 320 degrees F for 2 minutes to get them nice and crisp again.
Pair these with Crispy Bacon in the Air Fryer too!
Air Fryer Donuts with Canned Biscuits make for the easiest, frugal way to make donuts and make them fun for the kids and family. This easy air fryer recipe will be perfect to customize!

Using the cook time in the recipe is a bit much. 6 minutes worked better on my donuts than 8 which overcooked them.
