Make a savory, delicious Air Fryer Breakfast Rings in minutes!
This easy breakfast ring is adapted from the Air Fryer Taco Ring that I shared last week, my family has been LOVING these. I have a Pizza Ring planned next week, so stay tuned!
This crescent ring will be stuffed with ground sausage, eggs, peppers, and shredded cheese then cooked until it’s golden brown and flaky on top!
What crescent rolls should you use for this recipe?
For best results use Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough which is found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store.
I have tried MANY different types of crescent rolls over the years and Pillsbury holds its shape better than any others, which makes it much easier to work with when pulling the dough over the ingredients.
What ingredients do you need for the Air Fryer Breakfast Ring?
- Ground Sausage
- Bell Peppers
- Fennel Seed
- Eggs
- Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Optional Toppings:
- Tomatoes
- Salsa
- Fully Cooked Chopped Bacon
These will be the ingredients that you will want to have on hand for this breakfast ring. If you prefer, you can swap the cooked sausage with bacon too, or you can even use both.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Breakfast Ring:
The ground sausage and eggs will be made in a separate skillet before building your crescent ring, keep this in mind as you plan out your prep time.
It’s best to use either parchment paper that is made for the air fryer or foil to prepare this taco ring. If you are using foil, be sure there is room on the sides for air to circulate.
If you are choosing between the two, parchment paper made for the air fryer is the best option. It has holes in the bottom of it that will allow for the bottom of the crescent rolls to get fully cooked and not be as doughy as they would be with foil. Either will work; however, foil may take just a bit longer to cook the bottoms.
On top of the foil or parchment, begin to place the crescent rolls overlapping each other with the narrow end facing out in a circle. The image shows how it should be placed.
Then, top the widest part of the crescent rolls with the beef mixture and cheese. If you want to add a little extra, you can add refried beans under the taco meat too.
Once you have them filled, start folding them over taking the narrow end and wrapping it around the stuffing to the center.
Carefully place the breakfast ring in the air fryer basket and air fry at 360 degrees F for 6-8 minutes. This does need to be watched closely as all air fryers tend to heat differently. I placed mine in a cold air fryer, which was not preheated. It will cook until golden brown on top. I cooked it closer to 8 minutes to get the bottom done.
Once done, go ahead and remove and then we like to cut it with a pizza cutter and serve it with toppings!
All air fryers put off a different level of heat, if yours are still doughy after 8 minutes, carefully remove them, cut them with a pizza cutter, and place them back in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
How to Store the Leftovers:
The leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
When ready to serve, reheat them at 330 degrees F for 2-3 minutes in the air fryer.
This is a great easy recipe to add to your go-to breakfast recipes, plus it’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even breakfast for dinner! That tends to be our personal favorite.
