Make a quick and simple full meal with this Easy Air Fryer Taco Ring, ready in less than 20 minutes!
This easy taco ring will be made with crescent rolls and is perfect to feed 4 people on a busy weeknight!
I adapted this recipe from my oven-baked Taco Ring with Crescent Rolls.
It’s the best choice to use Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, this is because they hold together better than the off-brand crescent rolls. I’ve tried many over the years, especially the Aldi brand and as much as I want them to, they don’t hold up like Pillsbury.
This taco ring is a great option for game day or an easy appetizer, we typically call it dinner though!
What toppings do you add to the Air Fryer Taco Ring?
The best part of the taco ring is serving it with several toppings. This is easy to customize just like tacos.
A few serving suggestions include:
- Queso
- Sour Cream
- Chopped Cilantro
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Tomatoes
These make for great toppings on those golden brown stuffed crescent rolls. Let’s start making this taco ring once you know what you’ll top it with.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Taco Ring:
The first step is to prepare your ground beef or you can use leftover taco meat too. The ground beef will be cooked in a medium skillet on the stove, then add in the taco seasoning per your package instructions.
It’s best to use either parchment paper that is made for the air fryer or foil to prepare this taco ring. If you are using foil, be sure there is room on the sides for air to circulate.
If you are choosing between the two, parchment paper made for the air fryer is the best option. It has holes in the bottom of it that will allow for the bottom of the crescent rolls to get fully cooked and not be as doughy as they would be with foil. Either will work; however, foil may take just a bit longer to cook the bottoms.
On top of the foil or parchment, begin to place the crescent rolls overlapping each other with the narrow end facing out in a circle. The image shows how it should be placed.
Then, top the widest part of the crescent rolls with the beef mixture and cheese. If you want to add a little extra, you can add refried beans under the taco meat too.
Once you have them filled, start folding them over taking the narrow end and wrapping it around the stuffing to the center.
Carefully place the taco ring in the air fryer basket and air fry at 360 degrees F for 6-8 minutes. This does need to be watched closely as all air fryers tend to heat differently. I placed mine in a cold air fryer, so it was not preheated. It will cook until golden brown on top. I did end up cooking it closer to 8 minutes to get the bottom done.
Once done, go ahead and remove and then we like to cut it with a pizza cutter and serve it with toppings!
How to Store the Leftovers:
The leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
When ready to serve, reheat them at 330 degrees F for 2-3 minutes in the air fryer.
This recipe uses simple ingredients that the whole family will enjoy and be able to customize! Be sure to add this to the list of Air Fryer Crescent Roll Recipes!
