Make the BEST Gluten-Free Air Fryer Meatloaf, it’s ready to eat in 25 minutes and topped with a tangy sauce!
We absolutely love to make meatloaf and it’s SO EASY and fast in the Air Fryer! If you have a Ninja Foodi, be sure to check out this One-Pot Ninja Foodi Meatloaf and Potatoes.
This particular recipe for Air Fryer Meatloaf uses the same meatloaf as the Ninja Foodi Recipe, BUT it uses the air fryer instead.
Tips for Making Air Fryer Meatloaf:
It’s best to use aluminum foil to wrap the meatloaf in when putting it in the air fryer. This keeps the oils from dripping all over the place, but the leaner the meat…the better!
I just wrapped our meatloaf with it and left the top open so the air still circulates. In this particular meatloaf, the flavor comes from the sauce. The sauce is full of tangy flavor and that’s where this meatloaf gets its flavor.
That’s important to note because there isn’t a lot of salt in this meatloaf because of the sauce.
How do you make this a Gluten-Free Air Fryer Meatloaf?
This meatloaf uses oats instead of breadcrumbs or crackers, so it’s easy to make gluten-free with gluten-free oats. That’s the only swap that you will need to make for this recipe.

- Ground Beef
- Eggs

Hi! Can’t wait to try this recipe tonight, but I was wondering if you know if you can substitute the gluten free oats for just gluten free bread crumbs?
Yes, you can do that.
I use cornflakes
I tried that but it came out pretty dry and hard. The oats are much better.
On this meatloaf…why such Huge
Sodium/Sugar numbers?
Do u have any other suggestions?
IF I leave off the saltS n use Mrs.
Dash Salt Free sparingly n just 3/4 C.
BBQ Sauce ( no added salts or sugars)
(diabetic hubby w heart issues) sparingly..
can u give me an IDEA of the Sodium n Sugar count??
I would imagine it’s going to be in the sauce. It’s a sugary sauce, you could make one similar to this but using the method for this recipe to do it in the air fryer. https://www.food.com/recipe/low-sodium-meatloaf-440966#activity-feed
I have to air fry it almost twice as long as it says but it’s a great recipe. I make it often and the family loves it. I add an extra egg and I beat the eggs using electric hand mixer. I also sauté the onions first. Comes out great.
I also had to cook this for almost double the time, which was frustrating since I timed other dishes/dinenr around the recipe. But it was tasty and I’ll do it again.
