Tips for Making Air Fryer Frozen Mozzarella Sticks:
For best results, be sure to have Grapeseed Oil Spray on hand to spray the air fryer basket and mozzarella sticks during cooking.
The grapeseed oil spray will give it a crispy taste and texture without the extra deep frying.
Begin by coating the air fryer basket with Grapeseed Oil Spray, then place the frozen mozzarella sticks in a single layer inside the basket.
Once the mozzarella sticks are in the basket, coat them with another coat of oil spray, then begin air frying.
Remember that you always need room around the mozzarella sticks so that the hot air can circulate.
These will be cooked at 360 degrees F for 7-9 minutes. Using a Ninja Air Fryer, these took exactly 8 minutes, with no pre-heating. If you make multiple batches, it will be closer to 7 minutes on the second batch due to the air fryer being pre-heated.
It’s very important to remember that all air fryers heat differently, so always watch closely the first time that these are made. The goal is to make gooey mozzarella sticks with melty cheese and a crispy coating of the panko mixture.
What dipping sauces should you serve Air Fryer Mozzarella Sticks with?
This easy appetizer can be served with a variety of dipping sauces, such as:
- Ranch Dressing
- Marinara Sauce
- Blue Cheese Dressing
- …and More!
We always like to garnish with a little bit of Parsley too. Plus, remember if you enjoy these, you’ll like these Air Fryer Cheese Curds too.
How do you store leftover mozzarella sticks?
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. When ready to reheat, they are best reheated in the air fryer at 330 degrees F for 2-3 minutes.
If using the microwave, place them on a microwave-safe plate and heat for 1-2 minutes.
These crispy mozzarella sticks make for the perfect quick snack with a fast cooking process. These are a great after-school snack too for the kids. Who wouldn’t want all that cheesy goodness?
