Cook the ground sausage in the skillet on medium-high heat on the stove until no pink remains, add the green and red pepper plus the fennel seed and cook until the pepper is soft.
In a separate skillet, crack the eggs and whisk to scramble on medium heat until the eggs are fully cooked.
Place the crescent rolls on a sheet of foil or parchment paper to fit the air fryer basket. They should be placed in a circle overlapping each other where the wider end is in the center going out to the narrow end.
Spoon the meat mixture onto the wider part of the crescent rolls forming a circle. Add the scrambled eggs right on top of the meat mixture.
Top with shredded cheese.
Fold the narrow end of the crescent rolls over the wider end bringing it to the center.
Carefully place the crescent rolls into the air fryer basket, this is best done by preparing the crescent rolls on a sheet of foil or parchment paper made for the air fryer.
Cook at 360°F for 6-8 minutes, watching closely. They will be golden brown on top and the bottom will be soft but done.
Carefully remove and serve with toppings.
Notes
Remember that foil will work for this recipe, we use it; however, parchment made for the air fryer with holes in the bottom works the best to get the bottoms crispy. It's now widely available in various sizes. All air fryers put off a different level of heat, if yours are still doughy after 8 minutes, carefully remove them, cut them with a pizza cutter, and place them back in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.Nutritional Values will vary based on your toppings.
